Mark Zuckerberg recently announced that we will move from a social media company to a ‘Metaverse’ company and work on an ‘Embedded Internet’, in which the combination of reality and the virtual world will be greater than ever. This will allow you to do many things like meeting, traveling, gaming.

Many companies have made changes before. Facebook is not the first company to change its name or rebrand. Earlier in 2015, Google's parent company Alphabet made significant changes to make Google no longer just a search engine.

The company has announced that it will employ 10,000 people in the European Union for its Metaverse development. Mark Zuckerberg said he would recruit on a large scale in five years for the experience development of the virtual reality world. Those jobs will be including France, Germany, Ireland, Italy,  Netherlands, Poland, Spain and for other countries.

What is Metaverse? It can be called the next level of virtual reality. As people have recently developed virtual reality technology for audio speakers, television, video games. you can see things that are not in front of you. In the future, the advanced version of this technology will be able to touch and smell things. This is called Metaverse. The term Metaverse was first used by science fiction writer Neil Stephens in 1992 in his Nobel Snow Country.

Metaverse will take 15 years to prepare. Facebook said Metaverse is not a company that can be made overnight. Some non-profit groups have raised 50 million for the development of Metaverse. However, it can take 10 to 15 years to prepare. Some say the company designed it in recent months to divert attention from the scam.

Facebook has AI and reality lab. Facebook has a reality lab in Cork Ireland. They have opened an AI (Augmented Reality) research lab in France. In 2019, Facebook has partnered with Munich University of Technology to create an AI Ethical Research Center. The people the company will hire in the next 5 years will include highly specialized engineers.
